Section A - General Psychiatry

A1	Describe the nature of Prions and the characteristics of Prion Disease of the Central Nervous System. Discuss the implications for psychiatric disorders and reasons for current concerns.

A2	The advent of Community Care Teams in psychiatry has sometimes resulted in a large increase in referrals of patients with non-psychotic illness. Discuss critically how the resources of a Community Care Team, which includes a Consultant Psychiatrist, should be applied.

Section B - Psychiatric Specialties

B1	Describe the uses of cognitive therapy for people who suffer from psychotic illnesses and evaluate the evidence for its efficacy.

B2	“The only treatment for morbid jealousy is geographical separation” . Discuss.
